Some of you may remember my plea for help almost a year ago now, when my
little Beuhler had a recurring urinary blockage and I didn't know what to
do. Thanks to your recommendations, I took him to Dr. Paul Kim, who
pulled him through this crisis and later removed an adrenal tumor as well.
Beuhler bounced back and had a pretty good year, until now.

I took Beuhler back to Dr. Kim yesterday and found that he is full of
cancer, and has at most six months to live, possibly only one. He had been
sick for the past three weeks, and I thought he just had a cold, as some of
my others did. I finally took him to the vet because he was not getting
better, and found out it is much worse than a cold. Poor little guy!

His abdomen and chest are full of fluid, so he was put on medication
to flush the fluid, plus a nutritional supplement to help him get his
strength back, if possible, and a steroid to help supress the tumors. If
he responds well to this regimen, Dr. Kim said we might try additional
chemotherapy. If not, well then that's it, I guess. Dr. Kim actually
suggested putting him to sleep yesterday, but I couldn't do it. I think
my little Beuhler is still enjoying his life. If he gets too sick, then I
will have to let him go...
