Bear update 04/12/01

The vet called around noon and told me he had received the plasma test
back ( it had been lost and had to be resent!)

He thinks Bear has liver problems. His blood glucose has been normal and
if he had the insol. it would be all over the place. Bears high liver
vaules are 5 times the norm and Dr. hardy thinks he may have (forgive my
terrible spelling!) Hapatic Lipadosesis. He wants to do a biopsy to see if
it is that, or a tumor or something bacterial. He is working on uping his
potassium levels and he said that they played with Bear a bit and he was
trying to get around. He also said that Bear was putting his head in his
food bowl but not eating, maybe he can't smell the food?

At any rate I am eagerly waiting for more news and again am overwhelmed by
all of the love and support Bear has received ( us too)

My heart and thanks go out to Linda, Miss Ferret, she is an angel on earth!
