I am overwhelmed and humbled by the responswe to my plea for help from the
ferret community and others who can lend a hand of support.  I am wondering
if the city inspectors will ever come see me again after all this.  My
heartfelt thanks for all of you who have taken the time to e0mail the mayor
of Aurora or governor of Colorado or send faxes.  They surely must have a
big pile of them letters by now.  Keep telling friends and keep the letters
coming.  By the way, Mr. Isaacs supervisor was hear yesterday with another
guy with a camera.  He still can't get his story straight.  KNowing my
neighbors well and after talking to most of them, I presented the
supervisor with an offer.  I asked him if he could provide a half dozen
complaints in writing to me from any residence within two blocks of my
house, from any time period, and if he could do that, I would close the
shelter don right now.  His response was......Sorry Mr. Horton, I can't
do that.  I told him to shut up then and get off my property.  I can't
wait to get to court on Wed the 20th at 8am and see what other kind of
support we have going.
 
You know....I haven't been on the fml what you would call a real long time.
But I have met some mighty great people.  I have butted heads with a lot
of folks whom I now consider to be my friends....I will met those folks
someday I hope.  There are times when I've seen strangers come aboard the
fml for help, and strangers come out of the woodwork to help them, never
asking for a thing in return.  Yes the fml has brought a lot of wonderful
people together and into my life and for that, I have a special thanks to
Bill Gruber, who day after day, tirelessly and relentlessly make the fml
work.  He make the toughest of decisions somedays and may not always be
right,but a least he does somthing in a positive direction.  Thanks Bill!
and Thanks for bringing all the great people I've met here on your forum.
Thanks to all those people for support when myself and others have needed
it.  And yes...thanks too for the anonymous posters who unknowingly subject
themselves to ridicule and allows those that need to vent an avenue to do
so.  I hope this thing with the city of Aurora turns out ok.  Thank you all
for the help!!!
