Sorry if someone already mentioned this but a former co-worker of mine told
me that Superglue (tm) was originally developed earlier this century by
the US military for use as a quick way to suture wounds in the battlefield
until the soldier could be sent to the field hospital. (As a picture
framer she used it as a bandage alternative for the many small cuts one
tends to get in this line of work!) Sounds pretty crazy to me but then US
military practices don't always make sense. Evidently once you dig deeper
into this you find out that most modern technology was originally military
technology before it was released to the general public for use. Very
interesting but I still wouldn't use this type of glue on a wound myself.
