Judy, to me having the ferret conference in Las Vegas is a wonderful idea.
I never get to leave town except to Cacaland to rescue ferrets from doom.
So, of course for selfish reasons, I really think Vegas would be a great
place to hold the conference.  I have some animal connections that I could
probably have Joey "big ears" Britta call and ask they to bring their show
to the convention, they do a wildlife show, its great!  If we get real
bored we can always visit the Liberachi (sp?) Museum.  there are many
casinos here now that have animal related things, like the MGM having the
Lion Habitat, Mandalay Bay has the coral Reef with all kinds of man eating
sea dwellers on display, of course the white tigers and the dolphins at
the Mirage.  I'm sure I could twist my vets arm to do some speeches on
ferret health.
 
We have Red rock for the outdoorsy type, and horseback riding.  Mt.
Charleston for a very scenic drive and we even have a little local zoo
here.  See, its not just gambling, we have other stuff too!  And not to
mention, hehe, the wonderful ferret shelter, 24 Carat ferret Rescue And
Shelter!!
 
I could have an open house for everyone, I don't cook but have some really
talented friends, who have already offered to help.  So, count me in on
voting for Las Vegas for the Ferret Conference.
