I have been using Swheat Scoop wheat litter for a few months now. It is
a clumping litter and it states it is safe if the animal digests it. It
works wonderful on odors and a 14 lbs bag lasts a long time with my 6
fuzzies. They all did dig around in it at first but I have found they
always do when I have changed their litter until they have to go. I buy
this at Petsmart for about $12 a bag. The only problem is it does stick
to the bottom of the litterpan unless you keep the litter high enough.

I had the same problem as you with Yesterdays News and I thought it was
horrible smelling. I was also using Feline Pine but that really smelled
bad too, was messy, used too much. Just my opinion. It seems scooping
litters last a long time.

I would like to try wood pellets because they are so cheap. I like the
idea of buying a huge amount at once. I did just call around yesterday
to find some and no luck so far. Home Depot did not have it but then I
forgot to ask if they could order it. I am going to try Barbeques Galore
this week. Only thing I worry about is how it does on the smell.
