I would like to send a great thank you to Dr. Williams for his post on
eosinophilic enteritis. (Yes, I'm behind. I don't get to read the FML
on weekends.) I had learned much already by reading anything I could find,
but this post told me more that I had not known. Unfortunately, it does
sound like my Christopher is going to be one of the debilitated ones. He
was ill for a while before we got a diagnosis. He is still ill actually,
going on 3 months now. I had suspected, and now know, that he will
probably be on prednisone for the rest of his life. I am concerned about
the side effects of daily doses of prednisone (he gets .5cc once a day
now), but it is better than the alternative.

I would also like to put out a call for help. A while back there was
someone who posted about the flavored pred that their pharmacy compounded.
If I recall it was pink pred and green pred. If this person would please
contact me, I'd be grateful. If Chris has to have pred everyday for the
rest of his life, he may as well enjoy it. As it stands now, he hates it
and I have to scruff and pin him to get it into him.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. I will be heading down to Virginia to
be with relatives. Chris is coming with me.
