Another etailer bites the dust. I have used Mothernature.com to buy
supplements such as acidophilus for my ferrets. Mothernature.com is
closing down and is having a big sale.
http://www.mothernature.com/
(Same with http://www.garden.com but I can't figure out how that would be
ferret related.)

I respectfully disagree. If I post that one of my beloved ferrets died, I
certainly don't want any blessings or prayers given such as what appeared
in 3238. That would make my skin crawl and would cheapen my feelings about
the passing of my ferret - not to mention making me *angry*. Just like the
comments made about Sandee (Sandee's posts are cute but we all know Sandee
isn't a real ferret, don't we?), unsolicited religious judgments don't
belong on this ferret list.

>For the anonymous poster who took great offense at Rev. Sims-when you see
>his name, just skip over the post.

I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt that there may be a
ferret-related nugget buried within a post from someone that I may
routinely disagree with. Therefore, when I see posts from someone such as
Rev. Sims (who is as religious as I am agnostic), I don't automatically
skip his post. In fact, I sent Rev. Sims a private compliment on October
20th because of his post in issue 3212 (otherwise I wouldn't have
remembered this quote):

>Brothers & Sisters, I appeal to each of you, that your judgments about
>others may not be as harsh as some are. For all of us are subject to
>error. Just because a Brother or Sister does not believe as I do (in
>regards to religion), I do not have the right to judge them.

Yet he said in issue 3238:
>As an ordained minister, I have seen those who do not believe in an
>after-life, and their loss is greater for they have no hope. ...I am sorry
>for the sermon, but I hope and pray that one day your heart will be turned
>so that you too will know the joy of knowing that after this life, life
>eternal begins.

You can't have it both ways, Rev. Sims.

Unsolicited judgements based on religion have *NO* place on this list.
BIG, please reconsider allowing such items.
