Theoretically yes, but I don't think that I have ever seen it.  There have
been some cases in which I have suspected it, but it is really a difficult
thing to prove.  An expert at autopsy would first have to prove that there
was not left or right adrenal tissue, and then find a significant amount
of adrenocortical tissue - very tough to do.
 
I'm not saying it can't happen, though!
