Dear Cyndy,
 
I am responding to post 10 about arthritis.  I have a friend whose cat
had arthritis also.  My friend checked with her vet who gave the cat
glucosamine chrondroitin, a special formulation for pets.  Whether it would
work for ferrets or not I don't know.  Her cat has responded well to it and
doesn't limp as much anymore.
 
Hope this helps and I would check with the vet to see if they know
anything more.
