They make METAL dryer vent you know. I don't believe the plastic and
wire stuff should be used by ANYONE with ferrets. The metal venting is
flexible, easy to install and way safer.

For Christmas this year everybody get your ferrets the same present -
metal dryer vent! It will save you a lot of worry and possibly your
ferrets lives.

Another topic:
Lissy Lu's concern about sanitation in vet exam rooms is valid. I've been
escorted into exam rooms also where I had full view into the room and KNEW
it had not been cleaned between the doggie client leaving and my ferrets
going in. I've found hair and debris on exam tables while I wait for
the vet to come in. Maybe I live in a state with lesser standards than
Virginia... I usually wet a paper towel at the sink and wipe down the
table - for all the good THAT does. I'll be looking for a source for my
own personal Parvocide - thanks, Lissy!

PS: Somebody wrote to ask what book I was talking about the other day.
Of course I replied "Kim's book"!

For those new to the planet, it's titled FERRETS FOR DUMMIES - A Reference
