Ok, thanks again for your patience with this new, but hooked, ferret owner!
 
Do people leave the collars on their ferrets all the time, in the cage and
out?
 
How much do ferrets sleep?  It seems like Punk plays for 1/2 hour, then
takes a nap, plays, takes a nap, etc etc.  Boy, the night I brought him home
he gave me a real scare!  He was sleeping in my lap, and when I went to pick
him up, he just "hung" there, limp as a rag...I really thought he was dead!
So I laid him on my bed while I got ready to go back to the pet store with
him, and next thing I know, his head is up and he's looking around like
"what the heck is going on?" !!
 
My vet says to give Punk some fruit and vegetables, on the other hand, I've
read that you should stick strictly with his chow (I'm feeding him Iams
kitten chow)..what's the majority opinion?  He sure seems to love a little
bit of apple.
 
I've received several warnings about the environmental police taking away
illegal ferrets and euthanizing them.  What is the typical scenario for this
type of thing happaning?  Is it usually neighbors that "turn you in"?  Then
what happens?  Should Punk and I run for the border?  (My neighbors don't
know I have a ferret, btw)
 
 
My last question (for now) is, does anyone know of some reputable ferret
farms in the CT or NH area?
