The question of how long a ferret lives after adrenalectomy was posted...
That all depends on the age and health of the ferret in question, and also
whether it were a benign hyperplasia of the gland or a malignant one
(carcinoma). If the ferret were young (2 - 3 yrs old) and had no other
problems (eg. insulinoma) and the changes in the adrenal gland were benign,
then he/she should be able to live a normal ferret lifespan. If it were
a malignant mass then the expected lifespan following surgery would be
shortened to a few months up to a year. So the answer to the question is -
it all depends.
