Don't want to start a debate, but I need some pros and cons of descenting
the mom ferret that came home from KiSta.  She has been extremely stinky,
but she is also rather psycho after being separated from her babies.  She
'interrogates' any ferret she is allowed near and when said ferret does
not give up the location of her babies, Teresa proceeds to chew someone's
head off, poofing all the while!!  I am hoping once the spay is done
(scheduled for within a month), her hormones will subside and she will go
back to her normal, loving self!
 
The bad news comes from my sweetie, who is not very fond of ferret perfume
and has politely asked me to seriously reconsider descenting Teresa and
the baby.  My vet does not promote descenting, but I wanted to get some
opinions from anyone who has been through this - good and bad.
