Hi everyone. I have had a ferret for about three months now (a male,
approximately 2-3 yrs old). Lately he has been very active, moreso than
usual, and not sleeping much at all. I make sure he gets plenty of play
time, at least 3 hours a day (usually closer to 5 or 6 hrs). When he is
in his cage, he will scratch constantly on the door (last night this went
on for 2 hours, non-stop). I was hoping someone could tell me what this
could mean (illness, stress, etc.), and if there's anything I can do to
stop it.

Thanks for your help, in advance.
