Hello!  I found a little cat at school that I am planning on bringing home
to keep.  I also have a one year old male ferret.  I know that cats can
carry feline leukemia, but can ferrets catch this?  Or are there any other
diseases (other than fleas or ear mites) that a ferret can catch from a
cat?  I know I should have the cat checked out first but I want to make
sure he won't pass any diseases on to my ferret before I can get him to
the vet.
