Hello Everyone;

I would like to share my joy with everyone. About one month ago I adopted
a new baby girl. She is eight months old now, her real name is Velvet(for
a nick name I call her Lady-Bug), she is a black sable. My friend adopted
her brother. Velvet and her brother were adopted from a wonderful lady in
PA. She runs "The Last Chance Ferret Shelter." Little Velvet is going to
fit in great with my other seven. I have a female albino that won't let
any other ferrets near her. We(my boyfriend and myself) are very slowly
introducing the two girls together. So far, so good! Velvet is a little
ferret, she is a little over weight now. She was starved and she is still
trying to make up for not having alot of food. I think she is beginning to
realize that the food will always be there, no one is going to take it away
from her. She is beginning to drop some of that extra weight and
streamline.

She is not completely alone, when it is time to come out and play, she has
three others that she gets to come out with. Other than that she is a cage
alone for the time being. But, as I said before, hopefully that will not
be for much longer.

She gives alot of kisses and she follows me around like a little puppy.
Her favorite treat is Cheerio's. She constantly flits around like a
lady-bug.

I would love to tell everyone all the wonderful things about all of my
group of mischief makers, but than this would be a very long post, so I
will go for now. Thank you for listening to my excitement.

I wish all the neglected and abused ferrets out there find happy, loving
homes very soon. They don't deserve to be kept in situations that are
not conductive to long and happy lives.

Thanks again,
Donna
