For anyone wanting to use a safe insecticide around their ferrets, here is
a link for Camicide
http://www.fowl-play.com/cart/enter.html

It is safe to use around birds, including the nest boxes & cages. It
is affective up to 3 months. I have used it around the ferrets with no
problems.

For anyone wanting a safe disinfectant to use around all warm blooded
animals, you can check out Vanodine. "This product is an iodine based
disinfectant that should also be regarded as a biocide. It has been
tested and proven to kill Salmonella, Strep, E. Coli, Pseudomonas,
Candida, Staph, Aspergillus and a host of other harmful organisms.
Unlike disinfectants that are selective in the bacterial organisms that
they kill, since Vanodine V.18 is regarded as a biocide, it also kills
some viruses and fungi. It is a very versatile product since it is
non-toxic to all warm-blooded creatures when used at recommended dilutions.
It has been used in England for many years in their drinking water."

Hope this will help someone.
