I'd like to reccommend a veterinarian for folks living in the region of
Providence, RI... Dr. Bert, at Povar Animal Hospital. 401-434-0106, exit 5
off 195, East Prov. He and the rest of the staff are friendly, competent and
great at giving information. So far I've only taken the fuzzies there for
wellness type needs - checkups, vaccinations, and next week a neutering for the
male ferret - I don't have experience with more dire ferret health needs and
I don't know what his skills are in this area but my impressions of him as a
general ferret doc are a definite thumbs-up. The staff were great at keeping
the ferrets as calm as possible, cuddling them and soothing them.
