perhaps people are only responding to you about what their vets *don't*
do because those of us that have vets that *do* don't see any point in
responding, possibly in part because of the tone of your post.
 
Those vets that are not following proceedure are something to be concerned
about, but I would suspect the vast majority of them do follow appropriate
precautions.  I've seen vets that I wouldn't send a *dead* animal to, and
they still were careful about themselves, their staff, and their equipment
being sanitary.
