Hello group,
I am wondering if anyone out there vaccinates their own ferrets for
distemper. I do all of my other pets vaccinations besides Rabies. The
company I buy from, KV Vet Supply
http://www.kvvet.com/KVVet1v1/catalog/dir2.icl?secid=4&subsecid=98
has excellent products 95% of the people I have talked to or read things
from have all strongly suggested that I have my ferrets vaccinated for
distemper. So what I am asking is....what precautions should I take to
do the vaccinations at home. I have a ferret vet 10 minutes away.

I saved hundreds of dollars each year doing my own simple veternarian care
myself, from vaccines to basic first aid. I am a former vet tech for a
wildlife and excotic vet, so I am qualified to do them, I just want to
know if any of you have done your own ferrets?

I am writing annonymous for geological reasons
