Last night I was looking over the fuzzies when I noticed that Butch's tail
didn't look as full as usual. It didn't feel as fluffy either. He decided
that I was playing with him and wouldn't let me check him any further.
When I got home from work he was sleeping so I could actually take a look
at him and I see that down one side of his tail he's almost bald! I think
(hope)? I see blackheads.

I handle, touch, cuddle and examine these guys every day and I swear that
his tail was fine on Monday. Can they loose hair overnight like this? My
first reaction is to go to the vet and have him checked out. I've looked
at the FAQ's and some of the more recent postings but admit to being very
upset right now and not sure I'm understanding everything I need to. Any
advice is more than welcome.

Butch is 3 years old this month and has lived with me since March of 1999.
He is a MF and in otherwise good health. He did have a reaction to his
rabies vac earlier this year.

Thanks for your help!
Connie, Butch, and Maggie
