Hi,

You may be dealing with a mast cell tumour. Nothing to worry about usually
and VERY common in ferrets. Many of mine get them and they will have a
reddish sort of raw spot at first then they often bleed and look scabbed
over but it is just dried blood. Then if the blood breaks away you have a
reddish, raw spot again. Usually you do not have them removed unless there
are a lot of them. I had some removed once but new ones always seem to
reappear so it is kind of pointless unless it becomes a real problem or
appears to be very aggressive. You might have your vet take a look if you
are truly worried.

I usually put some Colloidal Silver directly on them when they are raw and
red looking and often they will go away after several days of applying it.
But guess what, eventually they always reappear in the exact same place.
These little tumours are persistent if nothing else. Hope this helps!!

Ferret hugs and kisses to all from FirstFanglady & the Fang Gang!!!!!!
