Dooks.

Of course, my ferrets have always tried to "appropriate" and stash the
staples: remote controls, socks, shoes, raisins, people, each other, etc.

I've had the pleasure, however, of owning a ferret who, had they been
seen professionally, I'm sure would have been diagnosed with
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder -- Socrates (bless her little soul). She
developed an obsession with a large, green military-style backpack which
was, actually, too large for her to drag around no matter how hard she
tried. Let me tell you, too, she tried very hard. She would clamp down
on that thing, shake her head, jerk around and all-around go CRAZY. And
pity be to the fool who tried to interfere -- she would be so focused that
she was just as likely latch on to anything that came close to her. Every
once in a while, when the pack would be strapped over the back of a chair,
she would jump to catch it in her teeth and hang there, writhing in an
effort to wrestle it free.

None of my ferts have since developed this relationship with the pack. . .
*shrug*
