hi everyone!
I am new to the forum--I have to ferrets, among two others whom have passed
on. I and my boyfriend have had ferrets for about two years. I am pretty
well read when it comes to these little guys, but i have an issue with one
that I can't seem to figure out myself. here goes...
Cota about 2-3 year old male. This summer he lost almost all hair on his
tail--took him to the vet..thinking it may be adrenal disease that may be
the cause...nothing really came of it. But as summer turned to winter--
amazingly he grew all the hair back on his tail. But now seemingly
enough-- he has lost weight-- he used to be kind of a portly little guy,
now he is noticably thinner. Also-his fur seems not as full as it used
to be, during the summer he had quite a thick coat, and now--it's a bit
thinner and has lost it's luster around his midsection. I am wondering
if this is the adrenal disease lurking? or could he be starting the get
older--baby fat maybe!?!?!? Anyone with some ideas please let me know!
thanks,
lisa
