If you can't change the conditions of the animals, PLEASE don't do
anything drastic or violent, think $$$$ instead !
 
What does a pet store depend on to exist ?  INVENTORY - animals, and
supplies.  Find the suppliers and let them know exactly what is going on.
Have hard and concrete facts, involve local authorities , and document
everything.  I can't stress this last part enough.  Try to be unemotional ,
cool, and succinct.  Overly impassioned letters and phone calls tend to be
disregarded, or worse, filed under nuisance, and can backfire on you later.
 
It does take time, but it CAN be done .  We convinced a major supplier of
ferrets to stop shipping to a nearby pet store after we provided evidence
of continual negligence.
 
Stay calm, document, document, document, and keep at it.
