Dear Ross,
Is your ferret getting chunky meat to chew?

I consider that the main reason for ferrets chewing cloth and other
non-food things, is the the desire to CHEW food. If the diet consists of
dried food, tinned food or mince, this need is not being met. In the US,
it seems, this can't be helped, but in Oz you can easily get diced beef
from any supermarket or pet shop.

You can visit the web site of the WA Ferret & Ferreting Society at
www.iinet.net.au/~pegshaun for more on feeding ferrets in Oz.

Shirley
