I have just found your site and I hope there is someone out there who
can advise me. I am digging though your FAQ's and hope I can find what
I require in there.

I hope you can help and offer some advice as to how I may best help my
ferret, Lottie.

I was given bad advice by a vet and did not get my female ferret spayed.
She is now two and seriously ill following becoming Hyper Oestragenic.
She is highly anaemic and very weak.

I have been given a liquid food as she is unable to eat solids.
The food is an product of America and is called "a/d"

Protein 10.5%
Fat 6.6%
n6 fatty acids 1.25%
n3 fa's 0.6%
Fibre 0.3%
Ash 1.8%
Moisture 77.0%
Calcium 0.24%
Phosphorous 0.24%
Na 0.18%

Vits and Mins per kg

Vit D3 500IU
Vit E 85 mg
Copper 2.7mg
Taurine 1.2mg

Does this product contain all it needs to. It is designed for cats and
seems very low in protein. Do I needs to supplement it with anything?
I do hope you can help as I am having great trouble finding a specialist
vet in the UK. Ferrets are still an uncommon pet.

She has had a hormone injection and a course of antibiotics to fight a
secondary infection.

Yours hopefully,
Wayne

PS, at the time she became ill her tail became covered in tint black spots,
is this related?
