To Jamie with the biting ferret,
You can try working with her:
1. NEVER play with her when she is allowed to "play bite" your hands.
2. If she does bite, scruff her, tell her no in a firm voice (not yelling)
and hiss at her.
3. If she is biting to be put down, do the same as above and then put her
in her cage for a time out.
No offense meant, but if your boyfriend is as rough as you described, she
may be better off in the loving hands of a good shelter where they can
rehabilitate her with love and gentleness. Animals can sense our moods,
and part of her response could be from his aggression and anger.
