Hey you guys.  Rocky is slowly growing up to be a real ferret!
 
Rocky was absolutely hand raised as he was very small, and from what the
shelter and their vet could judge only 4-5 weeks old when he was rescued.
He had Pneumonia, eyes were shut... and they soon got severely infected.
He almost died.  He was litterally carried everywhere 24/7 and nursed back.
Then the shelter mom couldnt put him down (they got so attached to one
another) so he toted around with her all over the house etc.  He preferred
humans to ferrets.  He got used to ferrets eventually, but still preferred
humans.  That is when Sean found him, and he found Sean.
 
We brought him home and all he has ever wanted to do is be held, slept
with, and played with 24/7.  In our situation where I am home, and where
Sean is so loving that worked out fine.  Okay so there we are with this
ferret that just loves to be carried and held, and if you put him down,
he jumped on your leg begging til you picked him back up.
 
He was the lowest in the social order,,,and when Laddie came along he was
picked on.  He fell into depression for a few months.  thanks to the FML..
advice of others helped us bring him out of it.
 
I am happy to announce.... Rocky Ferret.  He now is turning and growing up
to be a real ferret.  He can finally climb up on the couch (it took over 6
months).  He bites feet.  He digs in the couch.  He knows now not to charge
like a bull with his head down exposed neck at other ferrets.  He knows to
try to scruff them.  Rocky he'hes now.  He is doing all sorts of ferrety
things better and better.  Most encouragingly.... he can fend for himself.
He now play battles even with the alpha PONG!!!  Yup... Rocky Stout is now
Rocky Ferret (but don't tell Sean lol)
