Mufasa came home from the vet today. He is the ferret that had the bad
reaction to the new vaccine and lost the function in his hind legs (by the
way, I was so upset I accidentally called him Mishka, her other ferret's
name). Anyway, Mufasa is off all meds and glad to be home. He has
regained the use of one leg, which is still weak, and the other is
starting to react to stimulus, so the vet thinks there will be a lot more
improvement, with a little physical therapy.

The vet now thinks there was some sort of swelling of or around the spinal
cord, rather than a blood clot. His mom and his human aunt are very
thankful, and very grateful to all who responded with encouragement and
advice, and especially to Drs. Kelleher and Conner and their entire
staff who worked diligently around the clock to help "The Moof" - and who
suffered right along with us. They are the greatest !!! And we want
everyone to know that the manufacturer, Merial was very supportive and
concerned as well. How un-corporate and how very kind !!! I'll post
later, when we know how much leg function has returned.

Thanks again to all !!!

Joanne
