I just had to pass this story on... I hope you enjoy it as much as I
enjoyed experiencing it!
Yesterday, my oldster, Lace, who is around 8 years old, came to me with
the look that says, "Hey, you better follow me." So off I go like every
well trained, human co-habitor should, and followed her to the box that
holds the food and water bowls.
"Oh my... look at that. You're water bowl is empty! Sorry about that hon,
I'll fill that right away!" Off I go to the bathroom where I proceed to
clean out the dish. I look down and Lace is watching me very intently. I
say to her, "Okay, it'll be just a minute more. Go back to the box [where
the food and water dishes are housed] and I'll be there shortly." Off Lace
trots.
I fill the bowl and start back into the bedroom headed back to the box,
when I see Lace IN the box, feet up on the side, watching me... waiting
for me.
LOL... I put the water bowl in and she immediately starts to drink. I get
one look back with tongue in full side sweep. I know it is a thanks...

horse... human.
