The great God Glitch and his Prophet Murphy must have it in for me.
Lessons learned.

1. Don't assume that a secure server will allow you to post anonymously.
[My fault... see other post. BIG]

2. Proof read what you post, it makes a lot more sense when you put
   everything in.

3. As Paul Harvey says "Now For The Rest Of The Story", this part should
have been in the previous post but I cleverly failed to insert it.

From the e-mails I received from some very nice and concerned FML'ers who
expressed more concern for the wellbeing of the two ferrets than for my
actions, let me explain. The two ferrets, one male and one female were
being kept in rabbit cages in her detached garage, they were being fed
(when she remembered to feed them) cheap grocery store dry cat food, they
had no water and temperatures around here in the summer often exceed 100
degrees. I took the action I did because in addition to being a Police
Officer I am also the Animal Control Officer, the lady in question has had
five dogs seized or picked up as strays that have ended up at our pound,
since she would not pick them up and we could not find new homes for them
after 10 days or so they had to be destroyed. We have no Humane Society or
Animal Welfare groups here so it all falls on the cops. I have the two now
because we are the only other ferret family in town and can give them the
care they need, both were dirty, had long nails and were underfed, both are
now clean, clipped and gorging on Bob Churches Chicken Gravy, they have a
warm dry cage and free run of a 8 x 12 room, we will keep them isolated
from the rest of our group for a week or so to make sure they are health
and feeling safe enough to meet some new kids. I appologize for any
misunderstandings that may have come from the other post.
