The posts about screaming ferrets made me remember this funny story about
my Sadie.
WHen Sadie was a baby she was a candy freak. We had to be very careful
that Berts kids kept things out of reach because she would latch on to
something and take off...and when we tried to take it away from her she
would chatter, scream and act like she was going to bite you. She never
did bite, but it sure was intimidating! One day I took her over to see Mom
and Dad. My parents gave her loves and then set her down to go play with
their cat. She bounced off happily and we got busy talking...I ran down
stairs for something for Mom and came up to find Mom holding Sadie and Dad
on his hands and knees cleaning up a turned over plant. I shook my head
and started telling Sadie that she needed to straighten up or she wouldn't
be allowed to come over to Grandma and Grandpas house anymore....which is
when Mom started defending Sadie *LOL* "It's not her fault, we weren't
watching her..." Then Mom sent me next door to take the ladie a plate of
something...I walk up to the front door and there stands Dad. "We've had
another incident."...and there is Mom in the dining room holding a pair of
kitchen tongs. It seems Sadie had stolen an piece of Halloween candy out
of the Jackolantern on the floor. Mom put out her lip when she was telling
me "I was just going to take the wrapper off and give her a taste...
(Typical Grandma who wants to give the grandkids treats)... and she yelled
at me!"...Sadie had nipped at Mom and then taken her prize and run under
their CHina Cabnit. She gave Mom quite the scare with her sassyness and
Mom decided to try and get the candy away with a pair of Kitchen tongs.
We laughed about that for days. *shrug* I guess you had to be there.
Take care everyone!...Marta and my artistic inspirations Sadie and Simon
