Explaining to the Police

I just moved from Orlando to Lakeland, FL. The new place has a monitored
security system in it and I was promised that my free roaming ferrets would
not set off the motion detector. Well the other day I was gone for several
hours and when I got back home, I found a notice on my door. The notice
was a false alarm report from the police. I called the security company
and I was told that the alarm was set off in zone 4 which happens to be
the motion detector.

With that information, I know exactly who the burglars had to be. The
ferrets! I have told the 2 of them so many times that their stealing would
get them into trouble, but they never believed me. (You all knew that a
ferret is always right and us humans never know what we are talking about.)
I can just picture my oldest ferret Ashley waking up and running out into
the livingroom, to get to her favorite corner, and all of a sudden all of
the alarms going off! I was surprised that I did not find poopy in the
center of the room from it being scared right out of her. She no longer
comes running out into the livingroom. She now comes out very slowly
looking like she is sneaking and trying not to set off the alarms again.
I just wish I would have been her to see the look on her face when she
set off the alarms!

Now I have to fill out this report explaining to the police that the
ferrets set off the alarm. Do you think that they will believe me or
lock me up in the nut house? The security company is coming out next
week to put in a new motion detector, so that this will not happen again.

The things are ferrets do to keep our lives interesting!
