is Gentamicin not an antibiotic for gram negative bacteria?  I believe it
is...I was told by my vet, by Marhall Farms also, that Gentamincin nor
Gentacin, should NEVER be given to ferrets as it can cause deafness.
ER even had a special on how gentamicin had caused deafness in one of the
lead characters babies to get the word out on it's risks
