Critter Crunch treats

I saw these on ebay and emailed for a free sample. Go to crittercrunch.com
if you would like a sample. They are too big for a ferret, but I cut them
up in very small pieces. Chance who has to be one of the fussiest ferrets
liked it. I then emailed the company asking about sugar content, and they
said other ferret owners voiced the same concern. The ingredients are:
whole wheat flour, canned pumpkin, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, spice.
The peanut butter is a natural kind with no added salt or sugar. The only
sugars are naturally occuring in pumpkin, peanut butter and non-fat dry
milk. They responded: "There are 13.5 grams of sugar for a whole 8 oz.
bag of cookies. A bag of little bits (aprox. 95 pcs.) has .15g per cookie.
A bag of original size (aprox. 32 pcs ) has .40g per cookie. A bag of big
bites (aprox 12 pcs) has 1.12g per cookie." The sample was the original
size, but I cut it into several little pieces. So, is this o.k. for a
ferret or not?

Chance has let out a little scream when he has gotten scared. When we were
moving, I had him out on the breezeway and I walked out with an armful of
men's shirts and he gave a shriek and ran. Another time I wheeled the
garbage can on the driveway while I had him on a leash, and the plastic
wheels made a loud noise and he shrieked. I think he has done it three
times. I never had another ferret make this noise.

Also, what is the shelf life of Ferretone?

Regards,

Moxie and Chance
