I think whether stevia has an "aftertaste" or not depends on the medium in
which it is tinctured.
 
I have some green stevia tincture in water which has a DISTINCT aftertaste.
The green stevia tincture I make in vodka does not have an aftertaste,
though ..  and the white stevia tincture I buy (in glycerine, I think?)
also does not have an aftertaste.
