One way to harmlessly (i.e. no poisons) to rid your house of Brown Recluse
and Black Widow Spiders is to get some Daddy Long Legs.  Yes, I am serious,
they will eat the other spiders.  They have a venom that is more deadly
than either the Brown Recluse or the Black Widow, BUT their mouth parts are
too small to pierce even human skin.  A house with a few Daddy Long Legs
will NEVER have the other spiders.  My daughter actually "borrowed" some
from me to get rid of the black widows so her ferrets would be safe.
They only eat other insects and I would rather have a few cobwebs and NO
dangerous spiders...
