It's finally happened, yesterday I brought home a big beautiful sable boy
who doesn't have a name yet. But here's the problem: I have the two
ferrets in separate cages with common supervised playtime, like the woman
at the shelter suggested. He's very mellow, but Illura freaks out every
time he comes near her! She squeals at him, hissing if he really pushes
it. It's kinda funny, he's so much bigger than her that he can just crash
his body into her and she gets knocked down. I really want them to get
along (especially since they'll have to travel halfway across the country
together). Can someone tell me what's normal dominance-squabble stuff
and what's not? Ideally I would like to have them both in the same cage
eventually, how long should it take for these guys to get used to each
other?
