Hi,
I just thought I would pass on an interesting, fairly cheap, fairly easy
idea to help entertain the fuzzies of boredom. :-) I don't know about
anyone else, but I am constantly looking for something to keep our guys
happy.
I just found jeans on sale at Sears, so I bought several pairs for my
hubby. I replaced the old with the new and took the old pairs and cut
them up.
I cut the legs off at the crotch and sewed it straight across. When you
zip and button the jeans, you have a nice little sack. (I got that idea
from a blue jean sack I received from a friend who received it from someone
else. I think an FMLer does these.)
I took the legs and cut them down the seam. Cut off the thick seam part as
close as you can. You don't want to loose too much material on the sides.
Cut the bottoms off at the ankle cuff to get rid of those seams as well.
Line the pant legs up, inside out, end to end and sew them together. Then,
sew straight down the side to make a big, long blue jean tube. Turn it
back to the right side and VOILA! I leave the knee holes in as side
escapes.
If you want to see a pic, email me. I know it's hard to invision sometimes
with just a description.
