I have hardwood floors in my new house, built in 1958. I CANNOT get the
ferrets to stop pooping behind the bedroom door. It's not big enough to
put a litterbox there, and I couldn't put one there anyway because that's
where the closet door is also. I've tried towels, food, time out, shutting
them up in the bathroom for a few days to reintroduce them to the litterbox
location, frequent cleaning, and probably a few more things I've forgotten
because they didn't work. I even put a towel and sprayed some bitterapple
on it. I've had ferrets for eight years and never had this problem. If
they just insisted on going there, I put a litterbox. However, this area
is in the corner of the room and there is only about 2 to 3 inches between
the door jam of the bedroom door and the door jam to the closet door. If I
found a litterbox that small, I'm guessing they'd ignore it anyway. If
anyone out there has some brilliant idea, please let me in on it. Respond
to me personally, please, as well as the list. I don't often get a chance
to read the list every day. I'm lucky to read an entire list once a week.
Thanks,
D
