Tanya, I think there's probably over 3000 ferretaholics on this
list--that's why we're here, right?
 
It all started 6 years ago for me.  All it took was one ferret licking me
all over my face at the pet store--I was sold!  Didn't even know what one
was before that.  What's this licking me all over my face, loving me
unconditionally, so soft little and cute--I have to have one of these!
Rowdy was the first (perfect ferret).  Then we adopted Tundra from a
shelter.  He needed a friend you know.  Then poor Chico was hanging on
the cage at the pet store demanding to be let out (just went in for
supplies), sooo we HAD to bring him home!  Tundra (Tunny-Bear) left us from
lymphosarcoma so we decided to adopt, again.  Well we adopted 8 more (all
at one time).  Then Rowdy decided to leave us.  I got Oliver as a birthday
present to replace Rowdy and then we had to take in Buffy too (yes she
was the ferret slayer, but is much better).  Of course Oliver needed a
friend--that was Funny Face.  And then there was Scooter, Woozel and Pooh.
We've lost a few since then.  We were up to 15 at one time which is a lot,
now we have 12 which is still a lot, but...Ya just gotta love 'em!  Like
whoever said before--"you can't have just one"!!!!!!!!!!  Well, maybe 5 or
6 would be a good number...
 
In 30 minutes (Yahoo, I'm not counting or anything) I get to go home and
let them out, love on them, play with them, clean up poop, break up fights,
dish out duck soup and chicken gravy, nurse Bootsie from surgery today,
AAHHH, the life of a ferret mom :o)
 
Give all your under-the-weather munchkins a hug and kiss for me and prayers
for the ones at the bridge (who are probably playing with mine).
