Our silver mitt, Freddy, has always had a coarse coat, despite the fact
that he eats the same food, gets the same Ferretone, etc.  as the other
3 kids.  The other 3 have varying degrees of softness (none are silver
mitts), but are all softer than Freddy.  We've just decided that's the way
he is and love him anyway :).
