The Massachusetts shelters, like most shelters, are ALWAYS full. This
means that they must turn unwanted ferrets away on a regular basis and
always have a waiting list! To help with this urgent situation, we are
encouraging people to take in foster ferrets. There are a couple of
options--short-term or long-term temporary care, with medical expenses
paid.

Please, won't you consider helping out in this way, even if it's just for a
short time! You will be helping some very deserving ferrets as well as the
wonderful people who run the shelters! Fostering can literally save lives
as it will make space for more ferrets to be admitted to shelters.

Percy and Max are a very sweet bonded pair at the Educated Ferret in South
Hadley, Mass. If you live near there and can take them, please contact
shelter mom Donna Spirito at 413-538-7108 (try evenings).

Percy is about 4 years old and has had adrenal surgery. He is starting on
Lupron this week and will need to have his Lupron shots updated once a
month. He is kooky, energetic and very sweet! His buddy Max is about 2
years old, very easy-going, and is also very loveable and sweet. These
guys deserve a wonderful foster home and in return will give you lots of
love!

I will be posting about other ferrets on a regular basis. The other Mass.
shelters are in Wareham and Tewksbury. Thank you!

Ronnie
