My very first ferrets were raised on 9 lives which has a lot of corn in it.
The father and 3 daughters had insulinoma showing symptoms around age 5
yrs. To me this indicates that the insulinoma was hereditary, not caused
by the food.

Also, I've not heard of a problem of hypoglycemia in cats, has anyone? So
changing the Iams formulation from rice to corn doesn't appear to me to be
beneficial for the animals, whether they are cats or ferrets....

Warm hugs. tle
