This post is directed more towards the AFA officials and other
organizations rather then the general populous of the FML.

When exactly did the AFA institute this ADV testing policy? I went to
the AFA website last night looking for more information concerning it but
didn't find anything. I did see where there is a notice on the AFA webpage
about joining the egroups adv list for the latest information and while I
am not subscribed I did look thru the message archives for an announcement
of this new policy and I didn't find anything there either. I also
reviewed my show packet for the upcoming Ohio show that is AFA sanctioned
thinking possibly there would be a notice in there. No information about
this policy was in print in any of the sources available to me. Is the AFA
just making up this stuff as they go along? Is this policy in effect for
all AFA sanctioned events and shows such as the Spokane show and the Ohio
show to name two?

How exactly does the AFA determine who will be required to provide proof
of a negative ADV test and who is exempt? Are the people who have been
forthcoming with their test results going to be "black listed" and require
repeated testing? How about anybody who has gotten a ferret from anybody
who has had a positive ADV test (purchased a ferret from Amy Flemming for
example) regardless if they have tested everybody in the household and been
found to be negative? By what means is the AFA tracking this "hit" list?
Is the AFA planning on publishing a list of breeders and shelters who are
known to have had ADV problems?

Is LIFE going to be instituting a similar policy in the near future as
well? How about LOS? GCFA? GLFA? BFC?
