Well the ferret population has been established in our house. We are now
proudly owned by a 6 week old sable female named Loki. Already in 24 hours
we have learned more than any book could ever tell us.

DOES SHE NEED CPR?

The first thing we realized is that they don't sleep, they breath in their
death. We can hold her, roll her into a ball, rub her belly, play with her
feet, or maybe launch her into space, and the most we get is the occasional
yawn and sneeze and she goes back to sleep.

FERRETS DREAM

She will be sleeping, and all of a sudden she will twitch a foot, flutter
her tail, or even just move her whiskers.

IT'S ALLERGY SEASON FOR EVERYONE

She seems to like to sniff our faces, hands hair, ears, and then sneeze on
them.

 ...I SHALL FEAR NO EVIL...

For such a small thing she has no fear. She loves riding on, digging in,
and exploring Jen's chair.

Like I said, we were planning on getting the ferret yesterday, and with how
much we were looking forward to it there was no way we were going to skip
it. So I did my calling around and found that the only place that had any
ferrets had just gotten them in that day. so we load up the car and head
off to get us a fuzz ball and all the fixins. When we got there we asked
to see the ferrets, and it we fell in love instantly with this little girl.
but upon closer inspection we found that there is now way that it could be
a PV ferret, it had two small dots in her left ear. We had us an MF
ferret. But that was not a problem, after reading the post by Andrea
Franzini about how PV ferrets can have "Attitude Problems" we are kinda
glad that we got her. we get her, her giant new ferret cage(4 floors), and
all of the other stuff home and start to get her area all set up. The
first thing we found out is that she s too small for her harness, even when
t is set to the smallest size(I told you she was small). then we get her
cage all set up with hammock and all, put her in the hammock, she then
proceeds to fall out of it(not very coordinated). after a little food, a
little water, and a poop secession she is ready to come out and meet her
people. she is passed from person to person(sleeping the whole time), but
is still a very happy ferret.

Take care everyone,
OIK, Jen, and their new owner, Loki
