I, too, am appalled at the attitude of some of the people on this list.
One name in particular comes to mind.  I don't know who made this person
the FML God (I am not speaking of BIG) or the Post Challenging & Disection
King.  This person rarely has anything positive to say but always seems to
have the need to "correct" others, sway their opinion or get his two cents
in!  His posts are rude and patronizing, and condesending.  Ask yourself if
you would talk to your best friends like this... or even people you meet in
the grocery store.
 
People are entitled to their own opinion and the FML should be a safe place
to air them.  On that note, I will stand up and say, that I, personally,
don't care for MF mag either!  I appreciate the effort, time and money that
goes into the publication.  I appreciate the informative articles.  I even
appreciate the love and dedication that is so obviously poured into it
but... I do not appreciate the too-personal touch ("Here's Mary looking
gorgeous...") I read the magazine to expand my knowlege of ferrets... not
to find out how stunning Eric thinks Mary looks with newly colored hair.
In my opinion, these things draw a fine but definitive line between
UNprofessional and professional.
 
Now then, if you must flame, go right ahead.  I am very handy with the
delete button.  If you feel you must THREATEN me, then I DARE you to do
it publicly.... don't be a coward.
 
On to Winding Ferrets Up:
Kiwi only needs to have something dangled over his head.  Theo needs only
to be caught doing something naughty (like digging in the couch or getting
in the bathroom garbage (toilet paper tubes are already torn lengthwise).
Dook/Duke is perpetually wound up... the question is: WHat do we do to wind
him DOWN??  Gracie is too ladylike to bounce about in an unladylike fashion
unless she is putting on a show for a raisin.  Milo bounces when he has
someone to tube-race with.
