I had a husky when I was growing up.  He was very very gentle.  He was in
the same house with baby kittens and other puppies.  I also had a ferret
at the same time.  No problems.  I think that any dog breed could have a
problem with ferrets or other small animals.  My oldest daughter was even
raised with the husky.  Again NO problems.  I think that it is the training
and the individual temperament of the animals in question not the entire
breed.  Again this is just my opinion and my past experience.
